Author Sari Karplus is no stranger to storytelling. With her background in improv, parenthood came with the welcomed challenge of making up bedtime stories. She’s come up with hundreds of stories on the fly. But one that really stuck was about a boy who sets out to build a robot. Bit by bit and byte by byte, that story transformed into Robotastic! complete with rhymes and creatively cobbled together digital illustrations. With now three, Robotastic! books under her belt, Sari’s award-winning fourth book Squirrels in Antarctica, illustrated by Todd Wilkerson, just came out in March 2024.
Sari lives in Southern California with her family and has a background in comedy screenwriting, directing and standup.
